There is a lot happening in Oshawa in the warm summer months. You can feel at home by being a part of all these local festivals and activities. Below, we listed just a few popular summer events taking place in Oshawa this year.- Cars and Cupcakes is a special summer festival because Oshawa is commonly known for being “Canada’s Motor City”. The event consists of a walking tour through the Canadian Automotive Museum and explains the history of auto manufacturing, with tasty treats offered in between stops. The event is taking place on July 22nd, 2017 at 10am-12pm and is only $15/person.
- 100 Women Who Care comes to Oshawa on July 10th, 2017. This is their third fundraising meeting where women gather to raise money for local charities by hosting and participating in different events.
- Oshawa’s Annual Farmers Market returns this summer at the Oshawa Center with fresh and delicious produce. The market continues from now until October. Every Friday from 8am-2pm come out and enjoy this local event.
- Oshawa Ribfest is one of the city’s most popular events in the summer. This year, it will be hosted at Lakeview Park from August 18th to August 20th. Just like every year, there will be great food and entertainment the whole weekend.
